Gmail triage – Terms of Service
Last updated: October 15, 2026
These terms of service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Gmail triage (the “App”), a desktop application published by Emmanuel Bernard (“I”, “me”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App
The App helps you triage your Gmail inbox using a large language model (LLM). It connects to your Google account (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Docs and Sheets) with the permissions you grant, and runs on your computer.
How the App handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Your Google account
- You must have the right to use the Google account you connect to the App.
- You remain responsible for your Google account and for complying with Google’s Terms of Service.
- You can revoke the App’s access at any time from myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App:
- in violation of any applicable law or regulation,
- to access data you are not authorized to access,
- to send spam or unsolicited messages,
- to interfere with or disrupt Google services or the LLM provider’s services.
AI-generated output
The App uses an LLM to classify, summarize and suggest actions on your content. AI-generated output can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing suggestions and actions (labels, archiving, drafts, events, document changes) before relying on them.
Third-party services
The App relies on Google APIs and on a third-party LLM provider. Your use of these services is also subject to their own terms and policies. I am not responsible for their availability, behavior or changes.
Intellectual property
The App and its content remain the property of Emmanuel Bernard or its licensors. You keep all rights to your own data and content.
No warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law. I do not guarantee that the App will be error free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, emails or business, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, nor your statutory rights as a consumer.
Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by disconnecting your Google account and uninstalling it. I may suspend or discontinue the App at any time.
Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent French courts, subject to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
